TANGERINE – 100% Pure Plant, Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil
Botanical Name: Citrus reticulata
Parts Used: peel
Scent Characteristics: warm, citrus, fruity, with complex floral back note
History: Like so many other citrus trees, the Tangerine originates in Asia. The tree is commonly called Tangerine, Mandarin, or Clementine. The oil is commonly used as a sweet flavoring as well as for perfume.
Benefits: Tangerine is most often used as an antidepressant. It helps you clear stagnant thoughts and strengthen your focus. It also freshens the air and helps clear germs. As a digestive aid, it helps you treat impaired digestion. It helps to normalize intestinal function, which will relieve both constipation and chronic diarrhea. It has a sedative effect on the nervous system and as such, it helps calm anxieties as well as nervousness, cardiac spasm, palpitation, and false angina. It will help you relieve muscle spasm. It will also help you overcome insomnia. It has helped some people treat bronchitis, flu, and other respiratory illnesses. It works best, in this respect, when used with other oils like Frankincense, Eucalyptus, the mints, and the spices.
Blends Well With: Basil, Black Pepper, Chamomile-Roman, Cinnamon, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Juniper Berry, Lemon, Myrrh, Neroli (Orange Blossom), Nutmeg, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Rose, Sandalwood, and Ylang Ylang.
Advisory: Non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitizing. However, do not use on skin before sun exposure.
