GERANIUM – 100% Pure Plant, Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil
Botanical Name: Pelargonium graveolens
Parts Used: leaves, stalk, flowers
Scent Characteristics: floral, sweet, slightly herbal – Geranium is also sometimes referred to as Geranium Rose because of its soft rose aroma.
Benefits: relaxant, inflammation, women’s reproductive system, balances adrenals and hormones, nervous system, anxiety, agitation, nervous fatigue, adrenal gland, PMS, menopause, eczema, diarrhea, gallstones, jaundice, mild anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, astringent for skin, hemostatic, mild pancreas stimulant
History: Geranium has a long history of use for healing wound and broken bones. The root was often used in England to help prevent diarrhea and peptic ulcers. Often made into a tea to use when treating dysentery, hemorrhoids, and many different types of inflammations. The tea was also used to help treat menstrual problems.
Blends Well With: Basil, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Chamomile-Roman, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Cypress, Fennel-Sweet, Frankincense, Ginger, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Neroli (Orange Blossom), Orange, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Peppermint, Rose, Rosemary, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang.
