CEDARWOOD, ATLAS – 100% Pure Plant, Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil
Botanical Name: Cedrus atlantica
Parts Used: wood
Scent Characteristics: woody, fruity with honey overtones
Benefits: Cedarwood Atlas can help arterial regeneration as well as strengthening nervous system. Also helps treat rheumatism and arthritis pain. Because of its calming properties, Rocky Mountain Oils’ Cedarwood Atlas is good to use during meditations. May also be a sedative. Has helped some people sleep better at night. Assists respiratory infection or congestion, chronic bronchitis, and coughs. It is excellent to use in hair care for oily hair and scalp, as well as for dandruff. It can help strengthen your hair and keep it from falling out quite so fast. It helps treat boils, fungus, and skin diseases. It can help heal wounds. Works as a lymphatic stimulant. It helps treat edema, simple water retention. Can also help treat urinary infections, particularly cystitis and urethritis…
History: It was long believed that Cedarwood trees were the strongest trees so temples, furniture, and caskets were built out of the wood, thinking that they would last forever. The grove of Cedar trees the temple of Solomon was built from is still standing today on Mount Lebanon. Cedarwood oil has a long history of use in cosmetics, and in hair and skin care products. The French would use it to prevent hair loss.
